      YYG is an acronym for ‘Your Marriage. Your Family. God’s Design.’ It is also a statement of Biblical truth. The LORD God’s Marriage Covenant & Family was established in Genesis 2:24 after God brings the woman to the man. Here, God commands the man to leave his father & mother and to cleave to his wife [establishing the structure of family]. Then, God declares “they shall Become One Flesh” [establishing His Marriage Covenant].

   The purpose of YYG is found in the subtitle ‘Making Sense of Becoming One Flesh.’ Though Moses started writing The Bible some 3500 years ago, it is the source for YYG today because its time-tested wisdom is aimed at our relationships with each other and with God. YYG is a unique toolbox on the relationship bookshelf. Using Scripture as the source, YYG makes sense of Becoming One Flesh by uncovering the foundational principles of The Marriage Covenant in a faith-forward, Bible-based, Scripture-centered way. YYG is written in plain English for pew people [The Church Body] by a pew person [not a pastor]. YYG has been continually under development since 2012...a result of teaching in church groups, interrogating its content, and ongoing Bible study.

   Truth: marriage & family are universal regardless of your belief system. The Marriage Covenant was established in The Beginning so it ought to be no surprise that marriage is seen around the world…it is not bound by time or borders or cultures. While YYG is rooted in The Bible, we welcome you regardless of your faith tradition…the YYG Toolbox has plenty of relationship wisdom for just about everybody.
